Media Training

When you are ready to speak with media, on camera, on the phone, or in person, I prepare you to feel confident and clear.

Going on camera soon? Let's prepare together.
How it works

Prepared, confident, and natural on air.

Media appearances move fast and the pressure is real. You have a few minutes to tell a good story about your restaurant, your team, your food. I get you ready so that when the camera rolls, you are telling your story, not searching for it.

01

Key messages

We develop the two or three things you most want people to remember, and build everything else around them. No more talking past the point.

02

Q and A practice

Several practice runs covering the questions you will get and the ones you hope you won't. I play the interviewer so nothing catches you off guard on the day.

03

On camera skills

Where to look, how to stand, what to do with your hands, how to slow down when the nerves speed you up. The small mechanics that separate a clip you share from one you bury.

04

On site support

For some clients I am there with you on the day, to keep you calm, remind you of your key points, and handle the logistics so you can focus on the moment.

Example

Yukiko Iikura, WA-BAGEL, Global BC

Yukiko Iikura, head baker of WA-BAGEL, was making her first TV appearance on Global BC. I gave her media training and stayed on site for support. She demonstrated her Japanese style bagels, walked viewers through the process, and talked about WA-BAGEL and where to find her bakes.

It was warm, fun, and she was a natural on air. People rarely feel that way for a first TV appearance. She did because she had done the work ahead of time.
